Associate Professor Filip Maric

Occupational Health group international speaker 

Filip Maric (PhD) is Associate Professor in physiotherapy at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. Filip is the founder and executive chair of the Environmental Physiotherapy Association (EPA), the first international network of over 1400 physiotherapy clinicians, students, academic and professional representatives seeking to advance environmental awareness and responsibility across physiotherapy research, practice and education. In this role, he also leads the EPT Agenda – an international collaboration uniting over 100 universities and 40 supporting organisations aiming at the integration of planetary health, environmental and sustainability perspectives into physiotherapy education. Through his broad engagement across health and sustainability, Filip has also been appointed member of the UiT Sustainability Team tasked to advance the implementation of the sustainability strategy, and teaches sustainability education for higher education at both the UiT Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology, and the University of Oslo Centre for Learning, Innovation & Academic Development.
